Last updated: May 24, 2025

1. Introduction

PostKitten Content Studio ("PostKitten", "we", "our", or "us") explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our social media content scheduling and publishing platform in this Privacy Policy. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password.

Social Media Credentials: To publish content on your behalf, we store OAuth access tokens for connected social media accounts (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok). We never store your social media passwords.

Content Data: Posts, captions, images, videos, and scheduling metadata that you create or upload within the platform.

Usage Data: Log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the app, used to maintain and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the PostKitten platform
  • Publish scheduled content to your connected social media accounts
  • Authenticate you and secure your account
  • Send transactional emails (e.g. password resets, post failure notifications)
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve features and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Social Media Platforms: Only the content and metadata you explicitly choose to publish.
  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (hosting, analytics, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and users' safety.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Published post content may remain on connected social platforms subject to those platforms' own policies.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and restricted access to production systems. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

PostKitten is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the app. Your continued use of PostKitten after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
